The mark of mastery
After completing training sessions with our instructors, participants will receive a certificate. This certificate is crucial as it not only recognizes the skills and dedication of the holder but also grants them the exclusive opportunity to participate in live battles hosted every Saturday. These events are a chance to put training into practice, showcasing prowess in a real-world setting. The pace at which one can earn this certificate is entirely dependent on the individual’s progress, dedication, and mastery of the techniques taught.
Hence, this certificate is more than just a piece of paper; it’s a passport to participate in a significant aspect of our community — the live battles. These battles are a testament to a participant’s readiness to engage in historical combat, embodying the spirit and skills of a medieval warrior.
The Medieval Masters certificate is our own, internal record that you have completed the training our instructors require before fighting in controlled combat events. It is issued by us and is not an external qualification, licence or accreditation, and we make no claim that it is recognised by any other organisation.
Completing a training session earns you a training-completion certificate. Eligibility to fight in the Saturday Grand Melee, tournaments and full-armour combat is a separate decision made by the instructors based on your progress and safety — the certificate is the document that records it. Participant entry to events can only be booked by certificate holders.
Start with a fundamentals or private session, then continue with regular training. There is no fixed number of sessions: the pace depends on the individual. Spectator passes never require a certificate.
