About this experience
You are dressed by an instructor in a reproduction armour set sized to you: padded gambeson, mail or plate, helmet and a choice of sword, axe or shield for the pictures. No fighting is involved, so this session is open from age 12 with an adult present.
We shoot in the arena and at the palisade gate. You receive 10 edited digital photos by e-mail within 3 working days. Larger groups should book the Armour Fitting Experience or a group session instead.

What to wear and bring
- Close-fitting long-sleeved top and trousers under the armour
- Flat closed shoes
Safety
- No sparring or weapon contact in this session
- Armour weighs 15–25 kg; tell us about any back or joint problems
- Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult
Schedule
Runs Wednesday to Sunday.
Meeting point
Arrive 10 minutes early at the training ground gate on Cannons Lane.
Cancellation
Free rescheduling up to 48 hours before the session.
Weather
Photos move to the covered area in heavy rain.
